You get to buy your own cars and modify them to your specifications. You have a garage to where you can keep all of your cars. The modifying of these cars is outrageous! You can do anything from a custom sound system and custom body kits, to engine mods and suspension mods. You can do custom paint jobs and make custom graphics. Some of the games in this series lets you pic your own sponsors. Its a really cool way to make your own decisions in how the game goes.
You have different types of races as well. Circuit races, which is a certain amount of laps. Sprint races, from point A to point B. Drag races, and Drift races.
You have to beat rival racers and Bosses to get your credit on the streets. The police are also involved. In some races police try to stop the racers so you have to finish the race and then outrun the cops. If you get caught your car gets impounded and you have to start from scratch. Its a lot like real life.
