on illegal street racing, tougher laws are taking effect
12/04/09 10:35
The police, the courts, as well as the local authorities will surely have much greater powers to crack down on illegal street racing with their two new laws that came into effect, precisely at midnight, on December the first of this year, two thousand and nine.
Any street racer this is caught in the act surely will lose their license, as well as their vehicles, much sooner now, due to the Land Transport (Enforcement Powers) Amendment Act, as well as the Sentencing (Vehicle Confiscation) Amendment Act.
